Description

We are looking for a recipe designer/meal planner to design recipes and plan weekly meals for our customers. You will need a strong understanding of ancestral health (paleo, animal-based, primal) and you must be able to develop recipes and meal plans that are nutritionally balanced with bioavailable nutrients for a range of different diets.

You will work closely with customers, nutritional therapists, chefs, and suppliers. You will become a key part of our team to build a future of health prosperity.

The ideal candidate will have chef experience, follows an ancestral style diet, sources their own foods from local suppliers, and is looking for a career that can change the world.

Responsibilities

  • Design recipes and meal plans for Biospan nutrition programmes and dinner parties
  • Design bespoke recipes and meal plans for customers according to their nutrition plan
  • Consult with customers to understand their preferences and get feedback
  • Liaise with chefs to help them understand the best approach to your recipes
  • Place orders with Biospan suppliers to ensure chefs receive their required ingredients
  • Work with Biospan to develop software and processes to scale our service
  • To continually develop you knowledge in ancestral principles and functional medicine to design better recipes

Experience

  • You must have at least 3 years of chef experience
  • At least 1 year of recipe designing experience
  • Experience with providing instructions to reheat prepped foods
  • You must have experience with ancestral style diets (paleo, low FODMAP, animal-based, primal)
  • You must have strong knowledge on bioavailable nutrients (vitamins and minerals) which foods contain them, and the optimum amounts required per person to have exceptional health.
  • You must be well versed with ancestral traditions for food preparation (e.g. sprouting and fermenting grains to destroy plant defence chemicals, knowledge of raw dairy, unpasteurised honeys, etc)
  • You must have an understanding of the UK market and what foods are readily available/pricing

Additional

You must be flexible enough to take work on a pro rota basis as we grow and eventually into full time work.
